A leadership development program focusing on sustainable technology and innovation

Our one-year Full-time MBA program is taught by Germany’s most international faculty who come from Harvard, INSEAD, London Business School, Stanford and many other top schools worldwide. The program places an emphasis on personal growth and development. Students complete unparalleled coaching, teambuilding, and reflection seminars that are fully integrated into the course lecture schedule.

Students begin with six-weeks of courses on basic business frameworks. Intercultural team management and personal career planning are covered while students have traditional courses in economics and business in society. Students then begin Mastering Management, where they obtain a solid foundation in management – from accounting to marketing. As a capstone assignment, they complete an Integrative Leadership Exercise: teams apply learned material to a dynamic problem and find an innovative solution.

Afterwards, students Take the Lead. Participants develop strategy skills to lead at every organizational level; an integral part of that is the ability to make a difference - steering changes, achieving innovation, and mobilizing teams around a common goal.

For electives, participants choose from two tracks: Managing Technology and Innovation and Global Sustainable Business. Students can specialize in elective tracks either on Management of Innovation and Technology (MIT) which concentrates on how to successfully innovate through technology, how to capture value from this innovation, and how to bring new technologies to the market, or on Global Sustainable Business (GSB) which focuses on issues of sustainability, environmental management and doing business in emerging economies. Moreover, the program also covers a 7-week live consulting assignment with one of ESMT’s corporate contacts to practice management and leadership skills.
