Studying at the Copenhagen Business School

Copenhagen Business School (CBS) was founded in 1917 to meet the business sector’s demand for highly qualified people. Today it is one of the largest business schools in Europe with over 19, 000 students. CBS offers a comprehensive range of programmes in business economics and modern languages for international business communication on bachelor’s, master’s and PhD level.

As one of less than sixty business schools worldwide, CBS holds the triple-crown of international accreditations; AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB. In addition to these accreditations, CBS has been chosen as the only university to represent Denmark by CEMS, Community of European Management Schools. CBS also belongs to PIM, Partnership in International Management, an international consortium of prestigious business schools.

The Location

Denmark offers one of the world’s top working environments where work/life balance and self development are encouraged. Corporate culture is heavily influenced by the Scandinavian leadership approach characterised by trust, teamwork and respect for the individual. Furthermore, Denmark offers an outstanding entrepreneurial environment, and has been voted the easiest place in Europe to do business in by the World Bank. The city has developed into a hub for technology based companies, especially within pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biotech, IT and telecommunications.

Furthermore, the greater Copenhagen area hosts a unique creative cluster, notably within film and TV production, computer games, design and fashion. Should you decide to stay on and work in Denmark after your degree, the country features one of the most transparent and straightforward visa systems in the world. After you graduate, you will be eligible to apply for a three year green card, allowing you to experience firsthand the unique work culture and the Scandinavian approach to business.
